We read from Ezekiel chapter 8, The Lord’s hand fell upon Ezekiel in his house in the presence of the elders of Judah and lifted him up between the Earth and the heaven and he was brought in vision of God,to Jerusalem to the door of the north gate of the inner court where the seat of the image of jealousy was.The Lord told him to lift his eyes to the north ,north of the altar gate was the image of jealousy in the entrance and he saw the abomination the Israelites were doing.He was then taken to the door of the court,and he dug through the hole and he found a door and when he entered their stood the elders offering incense to abominable beast and idols, they thought that the Lord doesn’t see and that the Lord has forsaken the land.when Ezekiel turned after the Lord told him to do so he saw women weeping for tammuz.Then at the door of the altar of the Lord were men worshipping the sun towards the east.

The Israelites thought that what they did was hidden from the Lord forgetting that we can’t limit the Lord,He sees what we do everywhere.what is done in open or hidden from the eyes of men He sees it all.

As Christians do we live double lives?Are we proud to be called followers of Christ in any environment we are in?

Forgive me Lord for every moment I have ever been ashamed of proclaiming I am a Christian also for anytime I have limited your abilities and sort solution from other places.

In Ezekiel chapter 7,The Lord pronunces doom to the Israelites.”thus says the Lord God to the land of Israel,the end has come upon the four corners of the land. now the end has come upon you and I will send My anger against you and I will judge you according to your ways and I will repay you for all your abomination.”

The Lord condemns the Israelites and shows no pity as He previously did when He was correcting them and was willing to forgive them when they turned away from their wicked ways.The Lord says ” My eyes shall not spare, nor will I have pity; I will repay you according to your ways and your abomination will be in your midst.Then you shall know that I am the Lord who strikes.”The Lord continues to condemn them, the altars they have raised,the fortunes which have made them defile themselves and the images of their abomination.

Condemnation befalls any one who refuses to be corrected, repeat the same mistakes again and again.there are 3 things which the Lord warned the Israelites not mutilply

1: wealth the Lord new that wealth tend to corrupt the soul and makes one to defile himself and one tend to drift away from the Lord and he things the wealth has made him more powerful than any one

2:chariots because one tend thing he or she is mighty than the Lord.

3:women because the more women you have the more troubled you became.thus your spirit would be unsettled

The Lord knew that these 3 things would make the Israelites defile themselves.doom befalls upon them because of muptipling the above 3 things.

As Christians have we let the above 3 things injury our relationship with the Lord?

I always say it is better to be condemned by the world and not the Lord.

The word is from Ezekiel chapter 6.The Lord prophesied  against the Israelites for worshipping on other altars.The Lord brought a sword that destroyed their high places.Their Incense altars were destroyed and the slain men would be cast before their idols, the corpses of their children would be laid before their idols and their bones would be scattered upon their altars.The cities were also laid waste and their high places left desolate and the idols destroyed as they were led to captivity.Also the work of the Israelites were to be abolished.The slain would fall among them and then they will know that He is the Lord.

“He who is far shall die by the pestilence,he who is near shall fall by the sword and he who remains and is besieged shall die by famine.Thus I will spend my fury upon them.”The Lord did these so that He can remind the aldultorous hearts of the Israelites that He is The Lord.

Do i have high places which I have raised above the Lord’s altar.? To which altar due I take my offering.? What I practice and believe as a Christian is it a pleasing aroma to the Lord.? Those are some of the questions I ask myself.

My prayer is that we return to the feet of Jesus Christ and worship their,for in Him their is truth and life.Amen

In Ezekiel chapter 4&5,we read how the Lord was to lay siege to the tribes of Israelites and Judah because of their iniquity.also we read how the Lord was planning to limit what they ate and drunk so that they may waste away because of their iniquities.The Lord continues to speak out the destruction that will befall the children of Israelites and Judah for their disobedience and the abomination that will befall them.

The Lord was angry with the choosen generation because they defiled His sanctuary,destruction by famine,pest,sword and them been scattered to different nations was to befall them.The Lord wanted the other nations to see the fury He had towards Israelites.

As a parent we always want the best for our kids and that why we correct them to mould their character and enable them to grow in the best way.The same can be said about our Lord to us Christians.

As Christians do we understand that when the Lord correct us even though how hard it seems,it is because He loves us.we have to understand that trials and tribulations befalls us to draw us closer to our father.

If the Lord didn’t care He would have left us to our ways like how He left the gentiles.So let’s learn to view every chastening from the Lord as indicator of his love for us.

Our reading comes from the book of Ezekiel chapter 1, 2 and3.Ezekiel was responding to the voice of the Lord who wanted to use him to warn the Israelites.by him accepting to hear from the Lord,he was able to experience the glory of the Lord (chapter 1).The Lord fed Ezekiel the words which He wanted the Israelites to listen to.It was upon Him to speak the words that the Lord had placed inside him to the Israelites.If he failed to speak the words to them their blood would be upon his hands for the wicked ways in they choose to follow but if he spoke to them,he will deliver his soul.

The Israelites had a choice to make which voice to listen to,that of the world or that of the Lord.The Lord said “but when I speak to you,I will open your mouth and you shall say to them,thus says the Lord God, He who hears let him hear and he who refuses let him refuse for they are a rebellious house.”

The Lord is informing us that we have the power to choose which voice to feed our mind,body and soul.for the Lord has given us control of our mind and body. The voices that we feed our body will have an impact on our soul. Watching or listening to negative thing would affect your body,mind and the soul.

One would say watching movies that have theme which praises the wicked ways of the world,has no influence to my faith as a Christian but what we are doing is normalising and glorifying sin.we have reached a point where same sex marriages,sex,use of abusive language has become a normal thing we watch and listen to.currently for something to trend it normally glorifies sex, homosexuality or the language used is vulgar.

As Christian we have Departed from the Lord’s voice to the voices of the world and it is affecting our spiritual growth. From today I choose to listen to positive voices that will draw me closer to the glory of the Lord. I also choose to select the voices I feed my children,to protect their mind,body and soul from the voices of the world. I pray for the guidance of the Holy Spirit through it all and strength from the Lord.

Hi,we always question God “why me” when we are going through hard times.we fail to answer the same question why not me,and who would want to go through the hard time you are experiencing.Have you ever wondered what the Lord wants you to learn through your handle.

I have learnt never to doubt Him even when I am at a point when I feel down and disappointed.The last 2 months we’re tough for me with the birth of my child and the N.I.C.U experience for my daughter but through it all I ankered myself to the Lord.it was not easy but always asked for strength from the Lord.

Any parent who has had NICU experience will tell you that is the worst environment for one to be,you become mentally disturbed with what you see.it requires you develop ‘a tough immunity’ to the environment and ensure that tears and fear are not in you for the sake of your kid.you always remind yourself these is a season and it will soon be over. Now my baby is ok and I thank the Lord for the far He has brought us.

What I learnt to appreciate the gift of life,for it is precious regardless of what state of health you are in.To thank the Lord for the gift of good health.To let God take control and request for the presence of the holy Spirit.To trust in you God through it all,for the Lord knows best.

The word of the day is from Jeremiah chapter 49,50 and 51. The Lord pronunced destruction upon the Ammonites, Edomite and the Babylonian,for they had invaded and taken possession of the promised Land which the Lord had promised the Israelites. They also had caused destruction in the lsraelites and Judah cities. Though the Lord was angry with the descendants of Jacob for their wicked ways,He only wanted to punish them and not destroy them because He had a promise with their fore father’s. The Lord was also angry because these other nations practiced idol worship and Introduced their wicked worship practices to the Israelites. These nations believed in their number of their chariots and horses and also in the amount of treasures they had.They also adored the mighty and Swift men who they had. The Lord destroyed all their treasures, chariots and He also brought fear to the mighty and Swift men that they escaped and even forgot to taken their children with them. Yes the Lord used the Babylonian to punish the Israelites but He didn’t accept their attachment to things of the flesh and idol worship practice.

As Christians do we desire to be sons of a bond woman  who are more of the lust of flesh or do we desire to be sons of free woman who are from a promise from the Lord? Let’s set our vision on the promise of the Lord than on the flesh desires?

I have had people saying that Christians are poorer than the people who idol worship.these maybe true according to the eyes of the flesh but it is not true according to the Lord. The riches according to the Lord are not only of these world but for forever and forever.

Today’s word comes from the book of Jeremiah chapter 47 and 48.word of the Lord came to Jeremiah pronuncing doom against the Philistines from the Egyptians. The Lord also pronunced destruction against the moabites for their evil deeds for they trusted in the works of their hands and the treasures which they owned. They build high altars where they sacrificed their children to their gods,they exalted themselves against the Lord of host by their deeds and actions. Thus the Lord destruction was to befall on them and no lamentation by the moabites was to change the word of the Lord against these nation.

As Christians do we know we do not have the right to decide if one should live or not? Do we know that the Lord despise any others altars that we rise above His own altar?

Abortion is my choice because these is my body???? really.others say that The Lord created me wrongly I am supposed to be the other gender and not what I am now (trans gender).in short they are The Lord’s equal that’s what they are trying to say.Stop exalting yourself against the Lord,you are not the Lord,I am not the Lord and nobody can be Him let alone be equited to Him.

Today’s word comes from Jeremiah chapter 45 and 46.The Lord spoke to Jeremiah concerning Baruch.Baruch said woe to himself that the Lord has added grief to the sorrow.thus the Lord said to him what I have built I will break what I have planted I will pluck, don’t seek great things for yourself for adversity will befall the flesh but life will be given unto Baruch were he goes.The Lord also spoke about the destruction that was to befall Egypt and all the other nations that idol worship.These nations depend on their bucklers,shield, chariots and horses for war.they depended on the strength of their mighty men and the Swift men. The Lord declared vengeance on these nations and many men fell by the sword in hands of the king of babylon. The Egyptians tried  some medicine to cure them but they were not fruitful. The Lord destroyed these nations but as for the tribe of Jacob who dwelt in these lands He didn’t bring total destruction upon them but will rightly correct them.

As Christians have we allowed the flesh to take charge of our lives are we more into lifestyle,wealth, enjoyment than the word? Do we think we have the power and the might to over come any adversity on our own ? Do we ask the Holly Spirit to work in ask and help us through?

Not by might not by power but by the spirit says the Lord. Lord send your spirit to work in me to create a clean heart.

Today’s word is from Jeremiah chapter 44.The word was  concerning the Jews who dwell in Egypt, Migdol, Tahpanhes, Noph and Pathros. The Lord of host told them they have seen all the calamities that has befallen Jerusalem and cities of Judah because of the wickedness they have committed to provoke the Lord’s anger. They burnt incense and serve other gods they did not know. The Lord sent His servants to them but they did not change their wicked ways. The Lord was concerned that they were walking in the wicked ways of their father and worshipping other gods and the Lord wanted to set His face of catastrophe upon them but He sent his servant Jeremiah to the Jews who dwell in Egypt to tell them to get out of Egypt or they will die by sword,famine and pestilence. They refused to listen to the word of Lord and continued burning incense and worshipping those gods for to them they had plenty of food,were well of and did not have any trouble.The Lord swore to bring adversity to them because they hardened their heart and vowed to worship their gods.

As Christian do we have other earthly gods that we have created for ourselves like the gods of money when are seeking wealth,gods of the stars where we believe what the stars has to say about our fate,yoga where we place our bodies at a certain position of relaxation while chanting to certain spirits and gods? Do we refuse to listen to word of the Lord and believe in the strength of what man has created to solve our problem? Do we fail to see the need  to seek the the Lord just because their is plenty and we do not lack anything?

Do not have any other gods before the Lord. Do not make carved images in likeness of anything in heaven Above or on earth or under the waters. You shall not bow down to any image and serve them. These are the commandments of the Lord let’s place them in our hearts and minds and follow them always
